ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Hayley Cooper, a homebased

cake maker in Northampton, Uk. 

 

As the picture says it all started with that, my then one year old Nephew's birthday cake. I had made cakes for work charity fundraiser's (see some delightful pics below) and for a few friends birthday cakes but they were rather simple round sponges with frosting nothing like this train cake my sister challenged me to make! For a first attempt I was really impressed and from there gave me a bit of a bug for baking and decoating cakes. Ever since then I've made all 4 of my nephew's birthday cakes..soon to be 5 and have now extended this to the rest of the family and even been able personally bake my own daughter's cakes, and what a challenge the first one was. (Certainly a big Thank you to my sister for helping with that in the early hours, was a bit ambitious!) 

 

I don't pretend to be amazing and am still on a journey to learn all I can about baking and decorating cakes. I love buttercream designs and quick but impressive designs you can do with just a piping bag and nozzle. Currently i'm just a hobbiest at making cakes but eventually would love to be baking full time and making delightful cakes for everyone not just my nearest and dearest.
